Warrior Expeditions is honored to be the recipient of Mike Manion’s fundraiser hikes of the Camino Frances and the Alta Via in 2024!

Mike is a United States Air Force veteran and retiree who served from 1995 to 2021. He deployed numerous times including Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Honduras, Haiti, Libya, Qatar, and Turkey. Since retiring in 2021, Mike has spent several years reconnecting with his family, friends, and society by tackling long distance hikes often with his wife and beloved miniature dachshund. He has hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, the Patagonia O Circuit, the Quilotoa Loop, the Coast-to-Coast hike across England, the West Highland Way, the Great Glen Way, the Camino Portuguese Coastal, the Tour du Mont Blanc, and the Rim-to-River Grand Canyon trail.

In 2024, Mike will begin his next adventure to include the Camino Frances from St Jean Pied de Port, France to Santiago de Compostela, Spain and the Alta Via 1 in Italy. During his hikes, Mike will raise funds for Warrior Expeditions to help other veterans find peace, purpose, and connection in the outdoors.
