Warrior Expeditions is honored to be the recipient of Jeff Snyder’s fundraiser hikes beginning with his 2025 Manitou Incline self-supported month-long Fastest Known Time attempt!
Jeff is a United States Navy veteran and retired Chief who served from 2006 to 2021 when he was medically retired as a result of his numerous deployments as a Naval Special Warfare Tech including to Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen. Like Warrior Expeditions founder, Sean Gobin, Jeff discovered in 2020 that hiking is an effective method of processing his experiences in combat zones. Jeff spent the next five years on American hiking trails from short local trails with no names to section-hiking longer trails such as the Appalachian Trail, Colorado Trail, and Continental Divide Trail. His favorite hike is to the summit of America’s Mountain, Pikes Peak, via the Barr Trail. His first summit was with his son in 2024, and since then has become his trail of choice for training and gear testing.
In 2025, Jeff met his final two PTSD recovery objectives, and to mark and celebrate Jeff decided to attempt to set the record for the most self-supported ascents of the Manitou Incline in a single month. In the coming years Jeff’s mission is to pursue unsupported records on American hiking trails through his company Trekking Solo. Jeff’s next objective is to be the first person to complete the Appalachian Trail unsupported without leaving trail.
